Basado en el texto Austerlitz escrito por W.G. Sebald en 2001, desarrollé un guion autobiográfico que describe mi relación con algunas de las academias en las que estudié durante mi infancia. Representa una acción turística en la que los participantes deben visitar los lugares descritos en mi guion y capturar su viaje en fotografías. La pieza intenta dar sentido a la imposibilidad de recorrer las memorias de otros, explorando cómo interpretar sensaciones ajenas en torno al espacio.
Based on W.G. Sebald’s 2001 book Austerlitz, I developed an autobiographical script that describes my relationship with several of the schools I attended during my childhood. The work takes the form of a touristic action in which participants are asked to visit the locations described in my script and document their journey through photographs. The piece seeks to make sense of the impossibility of traversing another person’s memories, exploring how we interpret someone else’s sensations and emotional connections to space.
